CALL FOR PROPOSALS
August 22, 2024
The Supervisors of the Town of Grand Lake, Minnesota, will receive proposals mailed to Town Clerk,
Rachelle Brinkman, P.O. Box 1023, Twig, MN 55791, to be received no later than September 9, 2024. Mark “proposal” and will be opened at the Grand Lake Town Hall/Community Center during the regular Town Board meeting on September 10, 2024 at 7:00 PM.
PROPOSAL:
Township roads to be plowed including mileage:
Boyer Rd. (.50), W. Carlson Rd. (.70), Grigg Rd. (.10), Hallbeck Rd. (.15), Johnson Rd. (.30), Klimek Rd. (.85), N. McGregor Rd. (.50), Swanstrom Rd. (.30), Taylor Rd. (.50), Tyback Rd. (.30), Westlund Rd. (1.00), Bergstrom Jct. Rd. (.20), Wick Rd. (.25)
Snow plowing Township roads (Jentoff, East Lake (North & South legs and East & West legs), including turn-arounds where applicable, North and South fire halls (2), fire department helipad, fire hydrants at Cloquet River and Coons Pit Mud Lake on Munger Shaw Rd., Recycling Center, per specifications and the Community Center/Town Hall parking lot in its entirety, per specifications.
SPECIFICATIONS:
1. Snow plowing of Fire Department must be done within four (4) hours of any snowfall 2 inches or more, as established by the National Weather Service.
2. Snowplowing of the Recycling Center:
a. shall be done within twelve (12) hours of any snowfall and/or within half an hour prior to
Operating Hours: Tuesday 7am-12noon, Wednesday 2-7pm and Saturday 7am-3pm; and
b. Special equipment maybe required to plow; and
c. Listed separately.
3. Snowplowing of the Community Center/Town Hall:
a. The parking area in front of the Community Center/Town Hall must be complete before 8am unless otherwise noted by Town Board.
b. The remainder of the parking area at the end of the snow event or as necessary.
4. All other plowing shall be performed upon a 3” snowfall and as needed and as soon as possible during or at the end of each snow event.
5. Contractor must carry Workmen’s Compensation Insurance and General Liability of ($1.5M “per each occurrence”) and Property Damage Insurance and provide Certificate of Insurance acceptable to the Township.
